New found food place with gorgeous food and scenary - HandleBar

My brother brought my parents and I as a treat for their birthday.
And into the so call 'jungle' we went, and suddenly appeared before us was this.
With strong winds howling due to the close proximity to the sea and the trees in the jungle over us with country music in the background, L-O-V-E-L-Y.

Handle Bar @ Sembawang
Tue - Fri: 17:00 - 01:00
Sat - Sun: 15:00 - 01:00
Closed: Mon
Hotline: 64759571

Personally, I'm not a fan of Western Food and its grills. Because frankly, what different does it make when its all about wings, fries, steaks and whatmore.

But this place truly changed my mind.
And will be a place I frequent more often as a hangout.

This was our first dish. Blossom Onion. And its awesome. Fried to the crisp. And yet not too oily. And the onions were very sweet. A great dish to share and start out with.

For this, it was good. But felt that the meat should have more flavoring.
I still like the Mexican cheese tomatoes meat onions kind.

The wings were crispy and hot. And with the sauce which was not too spicy. I like it.

The pork ribs. I love it. The meat was crispy yet had juicy meat. Great to share 2-3pax.

My brothers love this. But to me, Its a bit tough to my liking.

My pictures don't do the food justice because it was taken in the dark.
Visit it to experience what I did :)
Cheers!

The food I eat in a day in Singapore - Breakfast at Drury Lane; Lunchat Royal Cafe; Dinner at Mata Thai (With snack in between Tutu kueh)

1. American Breakfast @ Drury Lane
94 Tanjong Pagar Road

Mon: 09:00 - 22:00
Wed - Fri: 09:00 - 22:00
Sat & Sun: 10:00 - 18:00
Usually I try my best not to complain about food because everyone has their own style. However this was truly beyond me. Felt a little cheated actually.
(Which was disappointing to me. For the money I paid, Had expected more! But well, the atmosphere was good for chilling out)
I had the special - Turkey Breakfast. Had such high hopes. But it came in such a small portion - did not even fill half of my stomach. Sad. And the bread was nothing special. It like the Kopitiam kind.

What was the best: Opp it was the Korean mart for me to stock up on my Korean food.
However I've heard great reviews about their desserts. But that day, the display had nothing special so I didn't go for it. I'll probably give it another chance - if I want to chill somewhere!

2. Singaporean Lunch - Royal Cafe
19 Upper East Coast Road

We had the recommendation from my friend who was a regular there!
Prawn Paste Chicken - which was crispy and not very salty. Good snack.
Mee Siam - Sourish but not like the asam kind. Suited to my taste buds.

4. Snacks in between @ Ang Mo Kio Central
Tutu Kueh with Actual Gula Melaka
Need I say more- its Gula Melaka. Hahahaahah..

B1 in the Ang Mo Kio mall.

I chance upon the same store in Bishan B1 too.

 3. Thai Dinner @ Bishan
Mata Thai
#01-390, Blk 508 Bishan Street 11

Due to its close proximity to my house, I've been wanting to try this. And I did. Glad it did not disappoint. I'm definitely going back there! The price is still reasonable I would say.
My favorite was the pineapple rice which I had lots of pineapples in it making it tangy and nice with the tumeric rice?
And the curry was sweet and had lots of different kind of vegetables.
For the desert, my aunty hated it but I loved it. They told us it was not in season but because I love sour mangoes. I ordered it and together with the warm sweet milk - Lovely!

Here's one day of my meal when I feel like indulging myself :)
